Note that if the commercial lot happens to be a venue with a closing hour, the sims living there will be shoved outside along with everyone else at closing time, though if they own the lot they should be able to back in again.

Since we cannot really control what inactives do to that extent, this option probably only makes sense for actives. This way they have a mailbox and the tiny but mostly empty residential will be where they are sent home to when commanded or reset, but they don't have to hang around on it. Another way is to exempt your sims from bills with the No Bills Ever LTR or with a 0% tax rate through SP Money.Īnother approach is to give active sims a very small real residential lot with nothing on it but a mailbox and trash can, located very close to the commercial lot in question, have them purchase the commercial lot, and spend all of their time there. The SP Money add-on module is required, of course in addition to SP being in control of progression. One way around that is use StoryProgression's Automated Active Billing option where active sims' bills are paid overnight by automatic debits. In addition to not being able to send/receive stuff through the mail, they need a way to pay their bills as they are still obligated to do so. They just can't get anything that would be sent to them through the game's mail system because they have no mailbox.Īctives are fine too, but a bit more of a challenge. I've had some inactives living on community lots for quite a while and they're fine. NRaas > MC > Settings > Allow Add Sim on Community Lots (default is False). MasterController has an option setting to allow us to place sims on community lots.
